Train your AI
Your AI gets better in two ways, and both take a few minutes a week rather than a project.
Improve an answer
Read a conversation in your Inbox. When you spot an answer that was wrong, thin, or off-brand, use Improve this answer and write what it should have said.
Your correction is saved as a knowledge base entry. From that moment the AI uses your version — for that question and for questions like it. You are not editing a single reply in history; you are teaching the shop.
Write the correction as a standalone fact, not as a reply to that one customer. "We ship to Norway, delivery is 5–7 working days, duties are paid by the customer" works. "Yes we do, as I said" does not.
Work the unanswered questions
The Unanswered questions tab on the Knowledge Base page collects the questions your AI could not answer from what it knows.
This list is the most valuable page in your dashboard. Every entry is a real customer who wanted something and did not get it.
Go through it weekly:
- A genuine gap → write the answer as a knowledge base page. The next customer gets it instantly.
- A question you never want to answer in chat → dismiss it.
- Something the AI should have found → check whether the information exists but is buried in a long page, or whether your customers use different words than your catalog does. Synonym groups fix the wording case.
What "training" means here
Storebird does not fine-tune a model on your data, and you would not want it to — that is slow, expensive, and it makes mistakes permanent.
Instead your AI is trained the way a good new colleague is: it looks things up before answering. Your catalog, your pages, your corrections. That is why a correction works within seconds instead of after a retraining cycle, and why deleting a knowledge base page removes that knowledge immediately.
The practical consequence: the quality of your answers is the quality of your written knowledge. Time spent in the knowledge base beats any prompt tinkering.
A weekly rhythm that works
- Skim yesterday's conversations in the Inbox — five minutes
- Improve any answer that made you wince
- Clear the Unanswered questions tab
- Once a month, re-read your top five knowledge base pages and check they are still true
Prices change, policies change, suppliers change. An AI that confidently quotes last season's shipping rates is worse than no AI at all.
